Megan Cristobal, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image issues, relationships, trauma, and addiction. I enjoy helping kids, teens, and adults improve their psychological health and wellbeing.
As an eating disorder specialist, I enjoy helping individuals manage their relationships with their bodies as well as with food. Every person is beautiful and has the potential to realize that beauty and improve the ways in which they view themselves. I enjoy working with kids, teens, and adults on improving their relationships with food and their bodies.
I also love for working with couples and families. I believe that our relationships are the center of our lives. Helping couples and families improve their communication, explore their common values, and work through their differences are a true passion of mine. I enjoy helping families and couples work through conflict and strengthen their relationships.
Using cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness, I support clients in using their personal strengths to work to achieve their goals. I am passionate about helping clients build insight into themselves and make behavioral change.
Experience: I have years of experience conducting group, individual, couples, and family therapy with kids, teens, and adults in variety of different settings. Prior to joining Simons Therapy, I worked as a primary therapist at Eating Recovery Center in Denver, Colorado. I am also a Gottman trained couples therapist. In addition to my work at Simons Therapy, I serve as a therapist at the Encompass Program, an integrative substance use and mental health treatment program for adolescents at Anschutz Medical Center.
